Come and vist us at SMAU Milano: we are within the Smart City Arena, in the area dedicated to the Province of Trento.
This can be an opportunity for us to discuss our initiative with you, and to show you what we realized so far! You will also have the possibility to learn about
Trento RISE and the other important initiatives that are happening in Trentino.
Moreover, on October 17, at 10:00 AM, SmartCampus will partecipate to the workshop presented by SMAU and ANCI (the national association of Italian minicipalities)
on "Smart City: transforming the users into citizens": a very central topic for our project!
New web site and facebook

From today, the new web site of SmartCampus is online! The site is work in progress. A description of our lab and of our services is already there. Soon you will also be able to download our services and to join our community.
We have also created our smartcampus user on facebook: come and visit us!
SmartCampus releases the first services

Today we did the first release of the set of SmartCampus services for students.
This release consists of 5 services: Community Manager (Build your own social network!), Communicator (Organise your campus messages!), Journey Planner (Never be late to a lecture again!), Discover Trento (Experience Trento as you never did!) e Portfolio (Present yourself with certified information!).
For the moment, we are testing these services in our lab, and we will soon open them to the first students.
SmartCampus helps Trento to become a smarter city

A Memorandum between Trento RISE and Comune di Trento has been signed today, by Fausto Giunchiglia, President of Trento RISE, and Alessandro Andreatta, Trento's Mayor.
The aim of the memorandum, says the Mayor, "is to reaffirm the intention of Trento to take on the challenge of being an innovative and open city, able to exploit the new technologies to communicate in new ways with the citizens". And to to this in collaboration with Trento RISE.
SmartCampus, together with open data and digital infrastructures for the city, has been identified in the protocol as one of the key areas of collaboration with the city of Trento.
Our challenge is now to realize services that are useful and interesting not only for the campus, but for the whole city!

SmartCampus at the ICT Days 2012

Today, SmartCampus participates to the ICT Days 2012, the annual event of the ICT world on Trento hill, presented by University of Trento, Fondazione Bruno Kessler and Trento RISE.
SmartCampus and the Experimental Design Lab of the University of Trento a seminar on "Design with and for People - Progettazione partecipata di sistemi informatici".
In the morning (10:00 AM) the talk will be in Italian, in the afternoon (2:30 PM) it will be in English. The seminsars will take place in Room A108, Polo F.Ferrari.
SmartCampus starts today!

Today, the SmartCampus project has officially started its activities. The goal of the project is to exploit advanced IT (Information Technology) solutions to experiment new approaches for the collaborative design of services for students and researchers of the Trento campus.
The intended results of SmartCampus are: a platform supporting the collaborative creation of services for the campus, and enabling their access through smart phones; a community of active users interested in participating to all aspects of the project; and a territorial lab for experimenting innovative IT solutions with the students.
The project has a duration of 3 years, and has been launched and funded by Trento RISE, the association that connects the major actors in IT research, education and business in the Trento region.
