Professional activity

From 1993 to 1999 I have worked as HCI-HF consultant. Principal customers and projects are listed below.

  • CRF (FIAT Research Center, Torino, Italy). INFOCAR: expert-based and user-based evaluation of innovative on-board information systems. Steering-wheel commands: lab-experiments to provide ergonomic guidelines for command design.
  • EC-project CEMVOCAS: driving-simulator experiments to investigate the workload induced by car-phones.
  • Elderly drivers: lab-experiments to provide design guidelines on an age-related perspective. Headlights: field study. Multifunctional on-board systems: field study (in collaboration with Magneti Marelli).
  • AINE Consortium (Autostrade Italiane Nord Est, North East Italian Motorways).
  • EC project TROPIC: survey to investigate the semantic content of Variable Message Systems - VMS's. EC project GEMINI: survey and field study to investigate drivers' reaction's to VMS and RDS technology.
  • Autovie Venete (Venetian Motorways, Trieste, Italy). VMS: survey to investigate expectations and attitudes towards VMS.
