Welcome to the homepage of Aliaksandr Birukou
Aliaksandr Birukou is currently a PostDoc at the University of Trento, Italy. He received his PhD in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Trento, Italy in 2009 and a degree with distinction in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus in 2002. His current research interests are in Data Mining, Multi-Agent Systems and Recommendation Systems. He served as a PC member for several international workshops, and reviewed papers for several journals (DKE, IJAOSE, IEEE TKDE, IP&P) and a number of conferences (including AAMAS, CAISE, ICCBR, ICSOC). Previously, he worked as a junior research assistant in the Research Laboratory of Applied Probabilistic Analysis at the Belarusian State University and he has published several scientific papers on Queueing Systems.
He also has professional experience in Software Development and in Banking. For more than three years he has been working in industry and his projects were successfully deployed in several Belarusian banks.
