| RSLab leads the development of radar sounding instruments |
|
NASA and the European Space Agency have announced their intention to launch a joint mission to Jupiter's moons in 2020. One of their key aims is to investigate Europa (a moon of Jupiter) - and its potential for life - in greater detail.
RSLab is involved in this mission with the leadership in the development of radar sounding instruments for exploring the subsurface of Ganymede and Europa. Find more about SSR here...
The mission and the importance of exploring Europa will be discussed in 2010: Space Odyssey to Europa, which goes out on Thursday 4th February at 2100 GMT on BBC Radio 4; duration 30 min.
It will also be available for 7 days after broadcast on Listen Again on the BBC Radio 4 website.
