Research Programs
Mission
We are active in the research areas related to the speech and language processing, vision, machine learning and interaction.
We are aiming at investigating how humans process speech, language and vision and learning mathematical models for automatic processing suitable for communicating machines.
Our research is based on computational models from batch or on-line examples and provide predictive models for data classification, automatic sequence labelling and structure inference.
The second research area the group is involved in is human-centred communication systems. We investigate models of interactions in any of the ICT scenario such as speech-to-speech, speech-to-web and multimodal interactions. Our focus is both on the computational aspect of the interaction models as well as on the usability of the user interfaces.
The third research area we center our attention on is collaborative systems and web architecture. We are active in software architecture design of advanced web and multimedia collaborative systems.
