Remembering Yoram Ofek

Yoram Ofek joined our Department in 2004, winning a Marie Curie Chair, after a long research and teaching experience in the United States.
In 2007 he was awarded a full professorship by the University of Trento settling in our beautiful region with his wife Barbara Ann and his daughters Daphne and Maja.
In the following three years he has been one ofthe most active members of our departments, actively articipating in the scientific life of our community and the social life of our city.
We are deeply honored to have had Prof. Ofek as a member of our University and Department and we hope that this workshop will help to keep his memory alive and to remember his outstanding contribution to science and technology.
