Project astract University of Trento (UT) is one of the most important educational and research centres of Italy.<br/>The main part, which will be involved to the project activity, is the Department of Information and<br/>Communication Technology. It represents the point of aggregation of the skills on information and<br/>communication technology and intend to provide a dynamic and qualified response to the everincreasing demand of such competencies from the productive tissue at local, national or international level. University departments are historically structures of remarkable importance for the increase of knowledge and for the technological transfer. In this context, the UT is an innovative and<br/>promising organisation in the Italian academic system. UT is intended to be an organisation: with a<br/>strong characterisation on its core disciplines and high interdisciplinary, with a leadership position<br/>in the field of services, of international excellence. The telecommunication scientific group of UN is<br/>leader in Italy in the area of university multimedia and information technologies.<br/><br/>UT traditionally is very active in international relations. It has stable contacts with many countries<br/>over the world, especially in Europe. During last years UT are interested in establishing contacts<br/>with NIS countries. One of the most perspective NIS partners of UT is DNU.<br/><br/>The main contribution of UT in this project is will be:<br/><br/>- the organization of advanced courses, inside the ICT Doctorate school;<br/>- the training of people from parterns institutions on ICT topics useful for University modernization.
