Project details
Project astract As we envision cross-layer solutions to combine and link the services/application layer down to the wireless MAC and networking aspects, the objectives of the project are two-fold:
- To investigate and develop cross layer models for service aware networking over hybrid (WiFi+WiMax+3/4G) mesh wireless networks, and
- To investigate the patterns and models for next gen application and social network traffic, which in turn affects the cross layer model above.
In this framework, the main reason for collaboration between the University of Trento and the North Carolina State University is related to the complementary competences of the two involved research groups, as the project will enable to foster existing collaboration to a new level and to further tighten joint activities.
Keywords wireless mesh networks, service oriented networking
Fundings 5000 €
