The tools used for the collaboration between DISI and the Partner Enterprises can help reach the following goals:
- Improve the knowledge of the enterprises in the field of research and technology innovation;
- Favour the formation of specialized personnel;
- Actualize the research projects co-financed by the enterprises aimed at obtaining market advantages.
The collaboration between the University and the Enterprise is centered around the Scientific Assistant (professor/researcher) who establishes a direct reference of the enterprise inside DISI.
The Scientific Assistant is competent in the areas of interest of the Partner Enterprise and promotes the initiatives of the enterprise.
Joint Research
The projects of joint research are the most significant forms of collaboration. These projects usually last a few years and often require special human resources. As a rule, the projects of joint research are oriented to patenting and realization of prototypes.
Internship
Internships offer students a period of practical experience in the industry related to their field of study where students have an opportunity to put the acquired knowledge into practice, to develop new relationships and knowledge, to test their attitudes and motivations and to experience the working environment in a secure way.

The assignment of a scholarship to an Italian or international master student could be a very useful tool to participate in his/her formation program and to evaluate the possibility of his/her future recruitment.
Industrial Scholar
The Industrial Scholar program is aimed at offering to the enterprises' personnel the possibility to improve and update their knowledge regarding information technologies.

The financing of the scholarships for research and innovation is a very important investment that allows the enterprise to establish a close relationship with the researchers and to receive the necessary information on the subject of their interest.
Placement
DISI provides the possibility to start a personal collaboration between enterprises and Ph.D. candidates, recent graduates and ICT bachelor and master students.
