Intensive course in Market Design: Theory and Pragmatics

CEEL (Cognitive and Experimental Economics Laboratory) program in Adaptive Economic Dynamics

The Trento Summer Schools are intended for advanced graduate students and post-doctoral scholars in economics, computer science and operations research.

The 2012 Trento Summer School faculty will bring together experts from many fields: i) artificial intelligence and multi-agent systems, ii) experimental economics, iii) mechanism design theory, iv) prediction markets, v) theoretical computer science.

They will provide an integrated series of lectures on topics such as: i) two-sided platforms, ii) matching markets, iii) double auction markets, iv) virtual economies, v) combinatorial auctions.

Dario Petri has been nominated Vice President for Conferences of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society

Dario PetriThe Vice President for Conferences chairs the Society Conferences Committee.

The Conferences Committee is responsible for overseeing the peer-reviewed technical meetings of the Society. In particular, but not limited to the following, the Conferences Committee shall:

  1. prepare, develop and recommend plans for peer-reviewed technical meeting activities,
  2. review proposals for peer-reviewed technical meetings,
  3. recommend sponsorship, co-sponsorship, or technical co-sponsorship of peer-reviewed technical meetings,
  4. make recommendations on matters concerning peer-reviewed technical meetings, including proposals for regulations on peer-reviewed technical meetings.

EIT Master school programme

Application for the Master in ICT Innovation open 1st  January - 15th February

 

The dream education is now a reality – we are now launching the EIT ICT Labs Master School's programmes in ICT Innovation!

The ICT innovation programmes are unique in their combination of a technical major and a minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Graduates receive double degrees and EIT ICT Labs certificates. Fabrizio Granelli nominated IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer

Fabrizio Granelli was nominated Distinguished Lecturer by the IEEE Communications Society for the period 2012-13.

The distinguished lecturers of the IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ComSoc) are outstanding scientists who are considered the ambassadors of the society in the world. Distinguished lecturers are invited by the ComSoc chapters around the world for giving scientific keynote talks. The IEEE ComSoc provides economic support all costs associated with the Distinguished Lecturers' talks.

In his talks, Prof. Granelli will cover areas related to smart grid communications, green networking, cognitive and adaptive networking.
